When is Dussehra 2027?
In Delhi, on Saturday, 9 October 2027, with the Aparājitā pūjā in the afternoon, 13:18 to 15:37. In Sydney and Singapore, it is Sunday, 10 October.
Is Vijayadashami the same day?
Yes. Dussehra is the popular name of Vijayādaśamī, the Āśvina śukla Daśamī, when Aparājitā is worshipped in the afternoon.
Why is the date different in the US or UK?
Dussehra is decided by the Daśamī in the afternoon at the city. The tithi begins and ends at the same moment everywhere, but sunrise and sunset come at different hours, so a city far to the west or east can keep another day.
